Performance Advantages of Sublimation Transfer Machines
Source:ZS Machinery Time:2016-08-16 Click:160 Times
Compared with other ways of printing fabric, a rotary sublimation transfer machine has some specific advantages.
- Continuous production. Output is measured in metres per hour, not pieces per press.
- Colour that lasts. The dye bonds into the synthetic fibre instead of sitting on the surface, so the print does not crack or peel.
- Even colour across the width. An oil-heated drum holds temperature across the full working width, so there are no pale edges.
- No wash-off, no drying. The process uses almost no water and needs no effluent treatment.
- Economical at short runs. There is no screen or plate to prepare.
- Soft handle. The printed fabric keeps its drape and feel.
It is not suitable for cotton, silk or linen – those need a different process. For polyester and performance fabrics it is usually the most efficient method available.
